Course Description

This course is designed to teach desktop support professionals about security technologies to help improve the security of Windows desktop systems. Participants will learn about cryptography services such as hashing and encryption, Windows security features such as rights, permissions, and security policies. Students will also learn about patching systems, implementing a Windows firewall, user account best practices, and communicating these best practices to the users. The course finishes with BitLocker drive encryption and the tools used to recover Windows from failure.
